Meet the chickens

We have 8 hens that lay eggs regularly. 

Guests are welcome to help themselves to the fresh eggs. Just remember not to let them out and close (and latch) the door as there are foxes about! 

There are normally some egg cartons in the kitchen pantry or in the games shed.

Our hens are thoughtfully cared for and maintained on a carefully balanced diet to support their health and the quality of their beautiful fresh eggs.

We kindly ask that guests do not feed the chickens. Even well-intentioned offerings can disrupt their diet, and some common foods are surprisingly harmful — even toxic — to poultry.
